Where Did Cynthia Go Last Weekend?

I enjoyed Thanksgiving with my family. Hope you did also.

Friday I went to the Majestic Gents 34th Anniversary at Visions Steppin in all Black. DJs were Myron “The R” and Cross. They had both rooms so you know where I was. In the back room. Nice set.

Sunday I went to Snoop & Crews Day Set at Ophelia’s with DJ TraNicole. Then the R Lounge with DJs Cross, Jay Boogie and Flyy Diva. That ended my night and weekend.

Cynt's 2 Cents

I’m just going to hit some points I saw discussed on Social Media.

Steppers, If you don’t have any money don’t go to a set begging to get in. Doesn’t matter how long you been Steppin.. if you are not in a club you can’t pay club prices (unless they say so). Then some of you that get in free and eat people food and complain about errthang. Really?? you got in free.

Promoters, if your party is a certain price, stand on that. But if people can’t pay it, don’t fuss at them asking why they didn’t come to your party. Some people got it and some don’t. I’m not saying lower your prices, I’m just saying a lot of people really don’t have it and can’t make it err month. If they can't make it, say maybe next time.. then they may really try to come out. Fussing at people makes them stay away.

Steppin Instructors, if you gone teach this dance, teach the dance. Don’t criticize people who are coming to you to learn from you.. help them.. they are paying you to teach them.. don’t miss yo money. And oh by the way, just because you won yo first contest don’t mean you should teach. Go to another experienced instructors class and help them teach for a couple years then get yo own class.

Students.. don’t put these instructors on a pedestal.. you are paying them to teach you. If you are not getting the dance.. ask for a private lesson or go to someone else who will take the time and patience to teach you.

DJs please don’t remix all the classics and over loop songs. Some songs are not meant to be messed with. Just doesn’t sound good to me.

To sum this up for me, I go where I can, when I can. I still pay to get into some sets too. If I got it, I go, if I don’t, I don't go. For those promoters that got me at the door, thank you! For the others, I understand. I’ve only been to one Steppin class, one time.. I learned by watching so I can’t really say anything else about that. I’m cool with most of the DJs, I don’t get mad when my name is not called out while I’m at a set. Some people can’t hear the names being mentioned anyway. But for those DJs that do, thank you. For those DJ don't mention my name, it's all good. Play yo Box. That’s my 2 cents.
