Where Did Cynthia Go This Past Weekend?

Friday I went to Mariella’s Banquets in Maywood for the Randale Productions set wit DJ Vell. I know I say every time I go out there it brings back so many memories.. me emceeing for Unique Connections on 1st Fridays with DJ Darren (continue to RIH my brotha from another mother). It was almost full when I got there at 7:30 and the party started at 7pm. Wow! Then it was packed at 8:30pm. It was good to see the westside steppers. Nice party.

Saturday I went to my high school classmate’s surprise birthday day party at the Calumet City Memorial post. It was good seeing my classmates. Enjoyed them. Left there and went to the Chicago South Elks Lodge for Fulson Cool Music & Superb Herbs set w/DJs Larry Fulson, Superb Herb & Ty who was celebrating his birthday. I had to park across the street. Wow!! Place was packed. It was great seeing my former club members. I even danced with this guy who.... hmm... in the middle of the dance started unbuckling his belt in the middle of the dance floor.. I stepped back, held my hands up and looked at a table full of people who was looking also with that look that Gregory on Abbott Elementary gives and the table erupted with laughter. I almost walked off the floor but dude was tightening up his belt.. why in the middle of the dance floor while dancing with me? Lord.. after the dance it was a big laugh with the table. Umm Umm. Nice party.

That was my weekend.
