2) Where Did Cynthia Go This Past Weekend?
Saturday after visiting my parents I went to Visions for Paradise Productions Steppin in Black set with DJs Eric “ET” Taylor and Tony Lane. Packed when I got there at 8:20 and the party started at 8pm. It was good seeing everyone.
Sunday I went to the Grand Opening of the Steppin It Up Dance & Fitness Studio w/ DJs Hank and Steppin George. It was packed. Congrats to Karen and Spike on your new venture.
That was my weekend.

Cynt's 2 Cents
You all know that DJ Sam Chatman passed away on Thursday, October 22nd. Social Media exploded with pictures and condolences. My phone was buzzing with text messages and phone calls all while I'm at a Board meeting for my job. So it was real hard to take those calls. I couldn't even cry while there. You know how you just never thought about someone passing? That was Sam. He was still DJing at 85. Yes he was 85 years old. I actually met him when he was at "What's Poppin Night Club". Then ran back into him again when I started Steppin in '96. Wow!! I interviewed him for "Steppin Chicago Style" internet tv show back in 2007. Go on my Youtube page: https://youtu.be/mOnVceqsrxA?si=_bY97yNJRJnJ48pF. The interview with him starts at the 9:27 min marker. I will truly miss him calling me "Bean Pie" and saying "Listen to me very carefully" and Saying "The Capricorn Ball is coming I need to run my ad on the Steppers 411". Dang. His funeral will be on 11/7/26. I will post that information next week.
